Spiritualist Anand Krishna Shared His Almost Certain Death ExperienceInternational Bali Meditators’ Festival (IBMF) 2009 Bale Banjar Ubud Kelod – Bali 14th of November 2009
Mr. Anand started his story with the statement of “the most certain thing in this life is death”. We never know what will happen to ourselves when we are facing death. In May 1991, he experienced a black out when he was washing his teeth. At that time after he had done some medical check up, the doctor stated that he had an advance stage of Leukemia. This cancer had not been detected before even though he was regularly doing a blood donor every twice a year. After that, he decided to visit his Guru, Shri Satya Sai Baba, in India. He used to have some opportunities to be interviewed by the Master due to his doings actively as the Secretariat General of Sai Baba Organisation in Indonesia, but this time the Master did not even look at him. But a month later, the Master told his son that he was not sick and was suggested to go back to Indonesia. During in Indonesia, his health condition was getting worse and often got into the hospital to have the blood transfusion at least once a week. While dying, he went back to India and he met a mysterious Lama there. The Lama asked him to visit Hemis Monastery in Leh, Laddakh – India. But because of his conditions, even though he said agree, he was not willing to do that. He even did not ask the Lama’s name. In his worst condition, he finally decided to visit the Hemis Monastery, a temple where Jesus Christ had ever lived. To his surprise he found that the mysterious Lama had already been waiting for him in front of the Monastery gates by saying “So you have come. You have chosen the best place to die.” The Lama also added, “You have tried many things in this life why don’t you try death?” Then the Lama prepared a small room with a bathroom for him where Jesus Christ had ever stayed 2000 years back. In that place, he had some rest. After that, the Lama offered him to try something fun while waiting for the death to come. The Lama even showed him a place to get some beer and women and also promised to wait for him in the front gate. Due to his conditions, he only drank beer at that time. Some days after, the Lama suggested him to go back to Indonesia. He was finally convinced to go back to Indonesia. Then one day, after he has never been sleeping normally, he woke up with a fresh condition. The level of Hemoglobin in his blood has elevated to the normal level. The signs of Leukemia have also gone. The important lesson that he has got from this experience is ‘the acceptance of life to whatever it is’. Positive thinking is not wrong, but when we do positive thinking then we should also accept the negative thinking, this life always has 2 opposite sides. He also has learned that his happiness can not be measured by any amount of money. (Joehanes Budiman)
